No, sorry to disappoint all fans of sayings out there, but that really was just off the top of my head. Incredibly true though, or at least if you live in Manchester. There's the old saying that it always rains here, but to be honest, thats not true. it's sunny, if freezing cold, all the way through the winter, killing all our hopes of snow. it becomes wet again just in time to ruin the summer BBQs lol, but hey, thats life.
for once the rain was well timed today, as it stayed dry long enough to walk from the bus to school, then tipped it down for the entire 3 hours before my tennis lesson (but then, tennis in march never was a brilliant idea)so we got out of it
the clouds cleared for a relatively dry lunch break, then started up again so that we couldnt get dragged out in to the freezing cold by our blodge teacher. and voila, come the end of the day, the clouds parted once more so that we didnt look like drenched rats getting on the bus again. yay! so, there you go. raining it may be (and looking out of my window i can confirm that it still is), but even the rain has its uses.
peace out, peeps

placebo annoyance
@ 2006-03-23 – 21:39:51
okay, so as a teen maybe i dont prioritise in exactly the same way as 'sensible' adults lol. but at the moment whats really annoying me is that placebo, one of my fave bands, are touring england. this would be fantastic, if they were playing manchester. obviously theyre not.

instead theyre taunting me by going to blackpool instead, somewhere i cant get to! so five girls in my year have got hold of tickets and are having a real night out, but i cant. silly as it is, this is vaguely depressing.
i am going to the v festival this year tho, so maybe i cud get lucky and they cud be one of the bands announced late. so far keane is looking to be my highlight, as well as morrisey and james dean bradfield. but i guess the real highlight is gonna be getting knee deep in mud and sleeping in a tent for a weekend! yay me lol
well there you go. not much going on atm in my mind, but thats a snippet. love for all the flamingos

a general lunatic hoping to migrate
@ 2005-12-02 – 19:56:14
well, its friday now thank god. this week has been so dull and long and crappy that i was losing my mind by the end lol. only thoughts of a peaceful weekend have been keeping me going. o and the fact that school ppl have organised a giant rendezvous for tomorrow in town, where we are going to go and scare the general residents of chinatown by piling into a resteraunt and ordering pretty much everything they have. in a very clever move to evapourate the general depression of the end of term tests, we are gonna go and chill out. it all sounds very fun. i just hope it doesnt rain in typical england style glumness, hehe.
it did snow in bolton on monday, but only enough to get everyone trying to play netball completely soaked without sticking at all. fortunately i was playing football at the time, and i didnt get half as wet. i scored!
i did my patented victory dance to our teachers surprise, and we even won the mini tournament thing. it brightened me day lol.
apart from that not a lot has really happened. i have become totally addicted to lost, which i absolutely love! except that warnby keeps watching the previews on e4 or w/e it is, then telling me wats going to happen. honestly! it is kind of creepy tho i have to say. its like one of those nightmare scenario things. except that its full of totally hot guy who systematically remove their shirts. which, you know. has to be a plus on a desert island.
o well. enjoy the winter wonderland where ever you are. and sorry if i sound like a depressed weather girl lol.
keep it real as leo says.

buses are evil
@ 2005-11-22 – 21:16:10
agh, after the bus escapade of a few days, you really would think that the school transport system would have sorted itself out. however, not so. after waiting 40 minutes for a bus at a temperature which really has to be below arctic standards, we gave up and decided that we must have missed it. just to be sure (not to waste more time out of school, honest) we decided to walk up to the next bus stop to see if they were there or if they had buggered off too. but, sods law or wateva its called, we were just walking up to the bus stop freezing as polar bears (or something very cold) when we saw the bus. pulling away from the bus stop. after a lot of running and screaming which is hard wen ur numb everywhere, we stopped it. sum1 nearly got run over by diving in front of the bus, and sum1 else lost both their shoes on the way, but we caught the goddammed thing! but then, after call-me-jim the driver raced us to school, we didnt even miss ne lessons. all that cold and running for nothing! it was all very depressing and pointless. but oh well. i just wait for the day when i can drive to school lol. well, i leave you again with the message of ' enjoy the winter weather!' ~supposedly there will be freezing fog tomorrow, which sounds very apocalypticy, and hopefully it will not delay our estemed transport systems lol.
good bye! xxx -
cold cold glum manchester
@ 2005-11-18 – 21:00:45
wow gosh its cold. today i had to get out of bed with a temperature of around -4 degrees outside, and i have to say it wasnt much warmer inside. i got outside to catch the bus to my lovely faroff school, before i realised it was at least five minutes later than i thought and i needed to run to get to the stop on time. no worries tho, because of course, on the coldest day of the year so far, the bus was 20 minutes late. lol, o well, at least i didnt miss it...
so, whats new? well the clocks have gone back, quite a long time ago i suppose, although i cant get over the dark mornings and nights. i have found a new musical obsession to, well, obsess over i guess. incredibly corny as it is, i have just got into listening to a seriously old busted cd that i found whilst out shopping. they are actually pretty funny. oh yeah, and i love goldie looking chain too. for welsh rappers, they sound quite serious. sometimes. r & b makes me laugh every time.
school is dull, although pe has become much more interesting with ice on the ground. football has never been so hard on concrete. but i scored! yay me!! i also saved a goal thing. well, it impressed me anyway lol.
so goodbye today, as it is the end of another installment. enjoy ur winter weather
